The Bridgewater Township Municipal Democratic Committee is the official local Democratic organization for Bridgewater Township, New Jersey. We are an all-volunteer group of active, committed Democrats who live who share common democratic ideals. We are your neighbors and friends.

The mission of the Bridgewater Democratic Committee is to advance Democratic values and principles in our community. We are dedicated to fostering a more inclusive community, promoting equitable policies, and engaging residents in the political process. Through grassroots organizing, community outreach, and strategic advocacy, we strive to deliver election victories that reflect the diverse voices and priorities of Bridgewater Township.

We hold regular meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Somerset Co. Democratic Committee Headquarters at 166 West End Ave, 2nd Fl., Somerville, NJ and on Zoom for those who can't attend in-person.  All registered Democrats are welcome to attend! 

The Bridgewater Township Municipal Democratic Committee consists of two members from each of the 36 voting districts in Bridgewater Township. Members are elected at the June primary election and serve a 4-year term. The next election for the Committee will be held during the June 2026 Primary.  

Our team is comprised of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. 

The purposes of the Bridgewater Township Municipal Democratic Committee are to advance good government and

Democratic ideals; to encourage grassroots participation in the Democratic Party; to promote the welfare and progress of the Democratic Party of Bridgewater Township, of Somerset County and of the State of New Jersey; to select and develop the most competent and qualified candidates for public office and to work effectively for their election; to encourage broad-based participation in Democratic Party and governmental affairs; to provide and promote means and

methods by which issues of importance to local Democrats may be heard and acted upon.

Even if our voting district committee seats are filled, we are always looking for other Democrats join us in our efforts.
