Bridgewater Township Council Campaign 2009 Issues

  1. Bridgewater Township needs a more open and transparent government.
  2. One party rule has hurt our town by causing inefficient spending, personnel disputes and cost overruns on the new Municipal Complex, which has resulted in tax increases.
  3. The Bridgewater Township Council should support enhancement of shared services (Somerset 21).
  4. The Bridgewater Township Council should support resident-friendly development and quality of life issues.
  5. The Bridgewater Township Council should promote good citizenship and civic awareness by involving youth in community service initiatives that will prevent participation in gangs and other negative behaviors - a growing problem in the county and in other New Jersey suburban areas.
