John Rooney

John Rooney has been a Bridgewater resident for over 30 years. He attended Bridgewater-Raritan schools and received a B.A. in Political Science from Kean University in 1990. After graduation, John worked in Washington, DC as a special assistant to U.S. Representative Tom McMillen (D-MD) for several years. Subsequently, he served as special assistant to the chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Upon returning to Bridgewater, John was a facilities manager at Ethicon, Incorporated in Somerville. He is currently transportation manager for Resource NJ in Denville. John feels his management skills and his long connection with Bridgewater Township will make him an effective councilman.
